San Francisco Exploration

After almost 48 hours of flights and layovers, we are finally waiting at the gate for our last leg from Taipei to Manila.  Amid the exhausting travels, we spent our twelve hour layover in San Francisco with some  relatives of ours.  California locals, they brought us to some of the significant landmarks and must-see tourist destinations during our short visit.  They also treated us to lunch at Scoma's, an exquisite steak and seafood restaurant which overlooks the bay from Fisherman's Wharf.  Over the approximate eight hours spent in and around the city, we explored the wharf, drove on Lombard Street (the crookedest street in the world), and, of course, visited the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Although the weather plummeted and the wind burgeoned to nothing short of metaphysical strengths, we very much enjoyed our time in San Francisco and agreed that even a week of exploration would only barely cover the tip of the iceberg of tourist opportunities in the area.  We also agree, however, that there is so much to look forward to as we await our last leg of the trip to Manila.
